Global's first set of offshore high-temperature flue gas waste heat power generation equipment has been delivered.

CNOOC announced that the world's first 5MW offshore high-temperature flue gas waste heat power generation system has completed testing and is set to be deployed at the Wenchang 9-7 oilfield. This system harnesses the high-temperature flue gas waste heat from offshore platform power stations to generate electricity, enhancing energy efficiency to 60%-70% and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It is expected to produce 0.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, meeting the needs of 30,000 households, saving 300 million cubic meters of natural gas, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 800,000 tons. This initiative holds significant importance for achieving carbon neutrality.
